Alt Construction deliver architectural homes and high-end residential projects across Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula. Family-run and building since 1984, we bring decades of experience to new builds and renovations, working closely with homeowners, architects, and designers.

    We specialise in new builds and renovations, working closely with architects, designers, and clients to deliver homes that are built properly, perform well, and stand the test of time. Quality matters at every stage, from early planning through to final delivery.

    Alt Construction is led by Richard Di Bartolo, Robert Verga, Chris Di Bartolo and Ben Tesoriero, a hands-on leadership team with deep experience across residential and commercial construction.

    Richard brings over 40 years in the industry, starting his career as a carpentry apprentice and progressing to deliver architectural homes across Melbourne’s inner-east, bayside, and coastal suburbs. His site-led background continues to shape how projects are planned, built, and delivered today.

    Robert has worked alongside Richard since the mid-1980s, beginning his apprenticeship under Richard before moving into senior site management roles with Tier 3 construction companies. Their long-standing partnership is built on reliability, honesty, and consistently high-quality workmanship.

    Chris and Ben both hold formal qualifications in Building and Construction and bring experience across residential and commercial projects in Melbourne. Together, they lead estimating, contracts, and project delivery, working closely with site teams to manage quality, coordination, and timelines across each build.

    Together, the leadership team takes an active role in every project, combining deep trade knowledge with a modern, organised approach to building.

  • Our site teams are led by Joe, Scott, Daniel and Mark, a close-knit group who have worked alongside us for many years.

    They are on site day-to-day, overseeing the build and working closely with our broader team to ensure each project runs smoothly. Their long-term involvement reflects the culture at Alt Construction, where people stay, relationships matter and projects are treated with genuine care.

    Alongside our site leaders, our carpenters and apprentices are an integral part of the Alt Construction team. Many have been with us for years, developing their skills within our processes and standards, and contributing to the consistency across our projects.

    That stability creates a better building experience, with clear communication, consistency on site and a team that feels invested from start to finish.
